In 1979, in parallel with the various meetings held for the next creation of a new Obedience the "Grand Lodge of the Cedars", eight brothers of the Respectable Lodge Al-Inkaz decided to create the Lodge Adonis;  it will wear the N ° 1 because it will be the first to be incorporated into the new Obedience in 1980.
The Respectable Lodge Adonis N °1 experienced rapid growth despite the painful events that Lebanon was going through during this period.
Brothers from all social categories lined its Columns;  lawyers, doctors, members of the political world and traders…. They met every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Temple on Mar Mikhael Street ... agendas loaded with work and fraternal exchanges were the outfits which used to end late in the night despite the often dangerous security conditions.
With the organization of the 2000 Colloquium by the Grand Lodge of Cedars, Adonis already had more than 120 members on its board.
The slump that Lebanon has been experiencing since 2019 (political / economic depression, Covid19 and port explosion) has not been without consequences on the Lodge as everywhere else ... but with an indestructible faith and a strong hope in  better days, the brothers are doing all what in their power to overcome these difficult times with of course the help and supervision of their Obedience the "Grand Lodge of the Cedars"
